RandomX v2

Why CPUs

The algorithm uses memory and a large set of randomly generated programs. This reduces the advantage of specialized hardware compared with simple hash functions.

What it does not guarantee

The protocol cannot physically prohibit GPUs. RandomX makes CPUs the practical baseline and raises the cost of specialized optimization.
